Applications are invited from Pakistani individuals for the following vacant posts for appointment on Regular Basis (BPS) / Tenure Track System (TTS) / Contract Basis:

The Islamia University Bahawalpur jobs 2019 in Faculty of Engineering

  • Professor: Civil Engineering (1 Post)
  • Associate Professor:  Electronics Engineering (2 Posts), Electrical Engineering (1 Post), Computer System Engineering (2 Posts), Telecom Engineering (02 Posts), Civil Engineering (1 Post)
  • Assistant Professor: Civil Engineering (2 Posts), Electrical Engineering (1 Post) Civil Engineering (3 Posts)

 

Criteria for Regular/ Contract Appointment (Professor)

  1. PhD degree in relevant field, recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC
  2. 15 years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a Post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in National or International organization. OR 10 years post-Ph.D. teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field ina National or International organization.
  3. 615 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last5 years) in journals recognized by the HEC/ PEC.

 

Criteria for Appointment on Tenure Track System (TTS)

  1. PhD from HEC recognized institution in the relevant field.
  2. 11-years post PhD or minimum of 7-years of post-PhD experience along with at least 12 years of experience prior to the PhD. The experience to be counted is to be of Teaching/ research experience in recognized university or post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in national or international organization.
  3. 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the past 5 vears) in internationally abstracted journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the HEC.

 

Criteria for Regular/Contract Appointment (Associate Professor)

  1.  PhD in the relevant field from institution recognized by HEC in consultation with PEC
  2. 10 years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized university or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field ina National or International organization. OR 5 years post-PhD teaching/research experience in HEC recognized university or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field ina National or International organization.
  3. 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last five years) in HEC/ PEC recognized journals

 

Criteria for Appointment on Tenure Track System (TTS)

  1. PhD from HEC recognized institution in the relevant field.
  2. 6-years Post-PhD or minimum of 4-years of post-PhD experience along with at least 6 years of experience prior to the PhD . The experience to be counted is to be of teaching/ research in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
  3. 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the past 5 years) in internationally abstracted Journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on TTS by the HEC.

 

Criteria for Regular/Contract Appointment (Assistant Professor)

  1. PhD in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university / institution.

 

Criteria for Appointment on Tenure Track System (TTS)

  1. PhD from HEC recognized institution with excellent presentation/ communication skills.
  2. Evaluation of PhD thesis of PhD degree holders from Pakistan must be done by two foreign Experts as per HEC guidelines for award of PhD degree, in case foreign evaluation was not done then the candidate must provide evidence of two publications in Journals recognized by the HEC.

 

Criteria for Regular/ Contract Appointment (Lecturer)

  1. First Class Master’s Degree in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career from HEC recognized University / Institution.

Criteria for Regular/ Contract Appointment (Professor)

  1. PhD in Law or equivalent degree from HEC recognized university / Institution.
  2. 15-years teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized university or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. OR 10-years post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or Professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization
  3. 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5-years) in journals of international repute by HEC recognized. OR LLM/JD or equivalent degree from HEC recognized university / institution.
  4. 17- years teaching/ research experience (with at least 8-years experience after LLM/JD or equivalent degree) in HEC recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.
  5. 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5-years) in journals of international repute by HEC recognized.
